What we do with what you tell us.

This page explains what we collect when you enquire through this website, an Instagram or Facebook lead form, email or WhatsApp, and what we do with it.

Last updated 31 August 2026.

What we collect

What you choose to tell us.

This may include your name, phone number and email address; the locality or pincode of your home; which rooms you want help with; and anything else you include in your enquiry. We ask for a full address only when it is needed for a visit, fitting or delivery.

If you send photographs of your rooms, we hold those too. Photographs are optional. Please avoid including people, personal documents or anything else we do not need to see.

Our website and Meta lead forms do not collect payment-card or bank-account details.

Why we collect it

To deal with the enquiry you made.

We use your information to reply, understand what you are looking for, recommend suitable options, arrange and prepare for a home visit, provide a quote, and complete any work you ask us to carry out.

We do not sell your information, use it for marketing, or add you to a marketing list.

Forms and messages

Different routes, the same limited purpose.

The forms on this site are handled by Web3Forms, a form service that receives what you submit and delivers it to us by email. It receives the answers you send, and its own policy allows it to process technical details of the submission — including your IP address and email address — with its spam-filtering providers, and to keep a submission for up to three years. We use it so that an enquiry cannot fail silently, which is what could happen before.

When you submit a lead form on Instagram or Facebook, Meta collects your responses and passes them to us. Meta’s privacy policy applies while Meta handles that information; this policy applies to what we do with it after we receive it.

When you contact us through WhatsApp, WhatsApp handles the message under its own privacy terms, and we receive the message and the number it came from.

Measuring the site

Basic, cookieless counting.

Cloudflare Pages hosts this site and Cloudflare Web Analytics gives us basic page-view and performance counts. It sets no cookies and does not follow you between websites. Google receives your IP address when your browser requests the typefaces used on the site.

We set no cookies of our own and there is no Meta Pixel or other advertising or retargeting pixel on this site. If that changes, we will update this page before the change goes live.

Measuring the forms

How far people get, not what they wrote.

We also count how people move through our enquiry forms — which step was reached, which fields were filled, where an error appeared. This is recorded on our own servers, without cookies, without your address, and without anything you typed. It cannot be linked to you or followed between visits.

We use it to find the questions that are getting in the way. A form that quietly loses people is the same problem as a form that quietly loses messages, and this is how we see it happening.

Who handles it

Only where it is needed.

The services that carry or store an enquiry may process it for us: Web3Forms for the website forms, and Meta, WhatsApp and email services for the other routes.

If an enquiry becomes an order, we may pass on only what is needed to people working on it — for example, an address for a fitter, measurements for a maker, or delivery instructions. We do not share your information for anyone else’s marketing. We may disclose it where the law requires us to.

How long we keep it

Only while it has a purpose.

We keep an enquiry only for as long as we reasonably need it to respond or continue the conversation. If you place an order, we may keep the records connected to it for business, tax, warranty, dispute-resolution or other legal purposes.

Your choices

Ask us directly.

You can ask what information we hold about you, have it corrected, withdraw your consent, or ask us to delete it. We will delete it unless we still need it to complete work you requested, resolve an existing issue, or comply with the law.

Write to Contact@traceandmordant.com or message us on WhatsApp at 98129 77977. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, contact us first so we can address it. Where applicable, you may then complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

We will update this page and its date if the services we use or the way we handle information changes.
