Start with whatever you already have.
A clear idea. A vague one. A room you like. A room you don't. A colour, a photograph, a sentence, or the feeling that something needs to change. Any of it gives us somewhere to begin.
The narrowing is our part.
Finish the sentences.
Don't try to make them useful. The words you reach for are useful already.
Any one of them on its own is enough. So is a single word, or half an answer.
Show us something instead.
A hotel room, a friend's house, a screenshot, a chair you hate, a photograph with nothing to do with interiors. If it tells us something, it belongs here.
And if the room already exists, photographs of it tell us more than anything else. Ordinary ones — they don't need to be styled or well taken. We can read the light, what's already on the walls and floor, and which decisions will make the largest difference.
From here, we do the narrowing.
Whatever you give us, we use it to bring a smaller, more useful set of cloths, instead of asking you to start with hundreds. If you'd rather skip all of this, we do the same thing when we meet.
